Ride the Wave. Sherry Cooper
Ride the Wave. Sherry Cooper. 2001.ISBN 0130622788. The acclaimed economist for the BoM and writer for the Globe and Mail. Ms Cooper takes a different look at the New and Old Economies and is very optimistic about the US and Canada. The bulk of the book covers what has happened in the last twenty-five years and she does a very good job of postulating why these things happened and what we can learn from them. The last section gives pertinant guidelines on personal choices we can make wrto the New/Old Economy. Good writer, intelligent and personable, easy to read, her advice makes lots of sense (sort of Gordon Pape for our generation. (Yes, she is just 50) I bought it, will keep it and have selected parts of it to give to my college age kids
