Strategy as Destiny. Robt A. Burgelman
Strategy as Destiny. Robt A. Burgelman. 2002. ISBN 0684855542. An academic history of Intel strategy over 12 years. Moore,Grove and Barret’s use of strategy to build Intel and shape an industry. Something for everyone is in this book, but it is not for the faint of heart. Burgelman and Grove taught MBA classes together for 12 years and the theory is very well rooted in practise. The models are very well thought out as to the disparate strategies occurring simultaneously in a company and how to keep the chaos useful. Good for very long plane flights and absolutely essential if you intend to or are doing business with Intel. Its on cheap at the Book Warehouse. Else look for it at the library. Go for the extended loan!
